Hold Up Megan

I took a second sleeping pill around 2 am this morning, because the fireworks in my head were just exhausting. I didn’t wake up until 7:30 when Sam the kitty meowed very loudly in my face. I went to the bathroom, and found Megan collapsed on the floor.

Scott and Lili are headed to the hospital with her now, and I’m nervous writing just to keep myself occupied.

She has done so much caretaking of me and everyone else. Exhausting. They’ve made it to the ER, but no other news yet.

I, on the other hand, am doing fabulous. I read in some of my notes to expect two months of occupational and physical therapy. Nope! There isn’t a single thing wrong with me. I need to finish getting off of the steroids and anti-seizure meds, but that is all that is left.

I handled a full day in town yesterday, including a Costco trip. At least I made this coffee cake yesterday so I could get something in their stomach as they ran off so fast.

  1. The problem with loving caretakers like Megan is they forget to take care of their OWN health. I do hope and pray she will be fine.

  2. Hey Lisa, if Dr. G thinks OT Would help you, do sccept. They help with any lingingering manual strength and dexterity issues, gove reslmy good hand arm and shoulder massages. Pluse help w/ body mechanics issues to help keep you safer in the word. OTs arenot, but in rate exceptions, about “occupations.,” in case you’ve never had their help.
