The land directly in front of me is home to a dozen or so steers. Stina insists on announcing their arrival every time they come in view. Cows!

If they are running together as they do in the evening when it gets cooler, she would like to chase them, actually, but doesn’t.

I like to sit on the tiny porch landing and read in the evening, with music playing and the cows like the music, too.

There are about 100 new bee hives as well in that same field. The girls like the sweet tasty golden sky raisins. But I now can’t leave out water anywhere without it being swarmed with bees. So the dogs have lost their wading pool, and my moats to keep ants out of stuff are nixed as well. Good thing I love bees.
